LEED & EDGE Certification Consulting Process

News

The LEED & EDGE certification consulting process supports investors through design, construction, and operation to achieve sustainable and internationally recognized green buildings.

1. Initial Assessment & Orientation

– Collect project information (scale, type, location, certification goals).

– Define the target certification level (LEED Certified/Silver/Gold/Platinum or EDGE Certified/Advanced/Zero Carbon).

– Conduct feasibility and cost–benefit analysis.

2. Strategic Planning

– Propose green strategies aligned with LEED/EDGE criteria.

– Develop a LEED Action Plan or EDGE Roadmap.

– Assign roles among stakeholders: investor, consultant, architect, MEP engineer, contractor.

3. Sustainable Design

– Support design teams in integrating energy, water, and material efficiency solutions.

– Perform energy modeling & resource efficiency simulations (Energy Modeling, EDGE App Simulation).

– Recommend optimized solutions to achieve the highest LEED/EDGE points at reasonable cost.

4. Registration

Register the project on:

LEED Online (USGBC/GBCI).

EDGE App (IFC/World Bank Group).

– Confirm certification scope and pay registration fees.

5. Construction Support

– Monitor the application of green solutions during construction.

– Oversee compliance with material standards, equipment operation, and construction waste management.

– Provide training & communication for contractors and construction teams.

6. Documentation Preparation

– Gather supporting documents: drawings, reports, material records, acceptance reports.

– Input detailed information into LEED Online or EDGE App.

– Cross-check to avoid omissions.

7. Preliminary Review

– Submit documentation to USGBC/GBCI (LEED) or IFC (EDGE).

– Receive feedback from the review board.

– Revise and supplement documentation as needed.

8. Final Review

– Submit final revisions.

– Review board issues certification results and awards the certification level.

9. Certification & Communication

– Receive official LEED/EDGE certificate.

– Organize announcement events and promote the green brand.

– Integrate the certification logo and credentials into project marketing materials.

10. Operation & Recertification (if applicable)

– For LEED O+M (Operations & Maintenance), projects must maintain green operations and recertify periodically.

– For EDGE, projects may apply for EDGE Zero Carbon to further enhance building value.

👉 The LEED & EDGE consulting process is not only about achieving certification but also about supporting investors through the entire journey — from design, construction, operation, to brand communication.
