Introduction

The objective of this training course will provide an overview of LEED green building certification, and especially the LEED assessment system dedicated to the type of apartment building..

LEED v4.1 for Residential, this is a new LEED rating system dedicated to housing and apartment buildings, the U.S. Green Building Council only officially released in April 2019. This evaluation system is easier to apply and more suitable for the type of apartment building, as well as saving more investment costs.

Currently, no apartment projects in Vietnam have applied and achieved LEED v4.1 certification for Residential because it is quite new. Apartment projects that have applied LEED up to now have largely not obtained LEED certification and are registered under the LEED v3/v4 BD+C New Construction or LEED v3/v4 BD+C Core &Shell rating system, which are said to be suitable for office buildings, hotels, industrial works, etc. and it is not really highly practical for the type of apartment building.
